Confectionery Assistant
Job Summary:
A local fudge company is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality fudge by following precise recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and assisting customers in a retail setting. This role includes providing product information, ensuring a positive customer experience, and adhering to food safety standards. Key responsibilities may include:
Fudge Production:
o Accurately measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes.
o Pouring batter into cooling pans and cutting fudge into desired shapes.
o Properly storing and labeling fudge batches.
o Maintaining sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
o Washing dishes throughout the shift
Customer Service:
o Greeting customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
o Wrapping and packaging fudge for purchase.
Retail Operations:
o Stocking shelves with fresh fudge and maintaining product displays.
o Cleaning and organizing the retail space, including counters, display cases, and floors.
Other Duties:
o Maintaining inventory levels of ingredients and packaging supplies.
o Following food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures
o Assisting with special orders or custom fudge creations
o Participating in promotional activities and special events
o Ability to lift 50# on a routine basis throughout the shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
