Join the Chamber for a Nonprofit Skills Seminar, presented by Huntington Bank on Monday, November 24 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Chamber Headquarters in Wexford In just a few hours, you attendees will learn about the Power of Email Marketing, how to Nurture and Build a Powerful Board of Directors, and learn more about Social Media, specifically for Nonprofits.
In the first hour, Autumn Edmiston of the Edmiston Group, will instruct participants about the importance and effectiveness of why email marketing with social media engagement can drive action. This session will reveal some simple but effective best practices and considerations for the small business or nonprofit seeking to make their email newsletters more effective.
During the second hour, Dottie Bechtol, Fiduciary Asset Business Development Officer of The Fragasso Group, will present, Nurturing and Building a Powerful Board of Directors. Dottie was an Executive Director in the nonprofit sector, and is very familiar with challenges and opportunities that present themselves to nonprofits. Ms. Bechtol is able to bring access to value-added services with sound professional investment management to nonprofits through our advisors.
The final hour will focus on social media and be a guide for small businesses or nonprofits who have been using social media marketing, but need some tips to take them to an intermediate level and or add new channels to their marketing efforts. This presentation will give you a closer look at the popular social media networks – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+, showcasing the benefits of using each, how other organizations are marketing with them, and some dos and don’ts of each channel. You’ll also get tips on how to tell if your social media activity is working.
