DESCRIPTION:Learn the importance and the tips and tricks of public speaking from a panel of experts!\n\n\n\nOur panelists include:\n\n\n\nMarcy Smorey\, Smorey Giger Law\n\nMarcy is the attorney owner of Smorey Giger Law practicing in Pittsburgh where she represents small business clients providing business and corporate law advice. Smorey Giger Law is a highly regarded and commercially savvy law firm with a proven track record of partnering with business teams to develop and enable both offensive and defensive strategies to mitigate risk and deliver meaningful contributions to corporate integrity and value. \n\nPrior to establishing her law firm\, Marcy worked as a general counsel within in-house corporate law departments\, and today\, Marcy uses her experience in a broad range of both business and legal matters to support her business clients beyond any one project. SGL also partners with an artificial intelligence software company to enable streamlined contract review empowering a progressive vision toward the anticipated new standard for legal review of commercial documents using AI. Additionally\, Marcy is adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Duquesne University School of Law where she teaches Corporate and Business Law and co-teaches a course regarding the unique role of in-house business counsel.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTracy Armstrong\, North Pittsburgh Greeting Company\n\nTracy Armstrong is the owner/operator of North Pittsburgh Greeting Company\, the area's premier "Welcome Wagon Service". For the past 15 years\, she has worked closely with the business and residential communities and has gained extensive knowledge in all areas of the North Pittsburgh region . Tracy's professionalism and personality captivate the attention of the new residents and new business owners who are enthusiastic to hear about NPGC's advertisers\, their products\, and their services. Tracy is currently serving her second terms on the Board of Managers for the Butler County YMCA and on the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber. Tracy is the Vice Chair of the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber and chairs the Ambassador and HYPE committees for the PNRC. In 2016\, Tracy received the PNRC's Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Tracy resides in Cranberry Township with her husband Curtis and son Logan\, and devotes her time between volunteering\, networking with the local businesses\, and giving back to the community that she loves. \n\n\n\n\n\nGregg Hartung\, Mayor of the Borough of Mars\n\nGregg Hartung resides in Mars\, PA\, where he is serving his second term as Mayor of the town. He teaches at Penn State Beaver part-time with a studio class called Radio Practicum and oversees the Radio Club (WBVR Radio). Gregg also serves as Director of Presbyterian Media Mission a mission agency of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.\, located on Pittsburgh's North Side. He is in his 34th year of working with PMM! Gregg is married to Tina\, and has 3 adult children Matthew\, Michele\, and Maria\, and two granddaughters\, Mable and Ruby.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy presentations\, open networking\, and a panel discussion.\n\n\n\nThis event is hosted by HYPE and is FREE for members & $10 for non-members to attend!\n\n\n\nFood will be provided by North Pittsburgh Greeting Company and desserts will be provided by Dittman EyeCare.
