ARMSTRONG Pizza With A Purpose
Armstrong would like to invite you to participate in the first ever Breaking Bread “Pizza with a Purpose” event, held on Wednesday, June 20th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
Breaking Bread is our designed initiative to fighting hunger through a 4-pronged approach of collecting donations of food, volunteering time, donating money and raising awareness. Our event is designed to harness the momentum of pizza obsession to effectively support those who have trouble meeting their own basic food needs. We will sell empty pizza boxes with tickets inside for people to walk from table to table and exchange their ticket for a slice of pizza. They will fill their boxes with award winning pizza from our area and have a chance to vote for the “People’s Choice Winner.” Proceeds from this event will go directly to helping our food banks!
Community members and business leaders from the region are looking forward to this brand-new event. With your help, we aim to make this a yearly event and assist our local food banks in providing more resources to their patrons. Volunteers from Southwest Butler Food Cupboard will be on hand to partake in our event and provide information for those wishing to get involved.
*There will be an Open Skate from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Registration is encouraged but not required*
